Rocky Deutsch – A Dependable Veterinarian In Northern Virginia

Rocky Deutsch is a veterinarian in Northern Virginia who completed his high school studies at O’Connell High School located in Arlington. This school was established in 1957 by six local parishes and was built to serve the fast growing suburban Catholic population in the region of Washington, D.C. Presently, the school’s student body of more than 1,200 shows the variation in the community. In September 1975, he enrolled at Virginia Tech University and attained his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in June 1980. Established in 1872, this university was originally founded as a mechanical and agricultural land-grant college. Currently, it is a research university that has the largest full-time student population in Virginia and is counted among the few public universities in the US that handles a corps of cadets.

After this, in September 1981, he was admitted into the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and in June 1985, he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from this college. Later, from October 1985 to May 1986, he became staff veterinarian for an after-hours emergency clinic in Newport News Virginia and managed both emergency surgical as well as medical cases. Apart from this, from May 1986 to April 2008, Rocky Deutsch became the owner and manager of the Burke Veterinary Clinic and worked there as a staff veterinarian.

Before becoming a veterinarian, Rocky Deutsch had spent his college summers working at a dairy farm, a cattle ranch in Texas, and a full-time veterinary technician in numerous small animal hospitals headquartered in Northern Virginia, where  he gained vast experience treating different animals. Besides this, Rocky Deutsch also gained immense experience in critical, emergency care medicine and surgery during the time he worked as a staff veterinarian at the Tidewater Emergency Clinic in Newport News, Virginia.
